Nearly every government in the world has promised to protect, respect and fulfill the rights of children. In South African, these rights are still violated.
Despite high enrolment levels in South African schools, pass rates are low. Education standards are especially poor in townships, rural areas and former homelands.
Millions of children are in danger of abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence. We keep the most vulnerable children safe from harm.
Poverty is rife in rural townships and many don’t have access to proper healthcare. We are working to change this through our income generation and community support programmes.
