Nathan conquers Kilimanjaro for Children
Thursday 14 November 2019
Nathan Stubbs, an avid adventurer, has conquered Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness for children in South Africa. Thanks to the generosity of Nathan’s friends and family, and you, our supporters, he reached the goal of R 30 000!
“Thank you to everyone who has followed and supported me in this journey to climb Kilimanjaro! We can be very proud of the money we have raised for such good cause,”
says Stubbs.
Nathan says summiting Africa’s highest mountain was not easy.
“The climb itself was much more of a physical challenge that I expected, due to harsh weather conditions but it was the support that I received that pushed me to reach the top –thanks again to everyone involved,” adds Stubbs.
As a global movement, operating in over 120 countries, last year the Save the Children movement directly reached 56.3 million children. In South Africa, we work across five provinces – Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, Limpopo and KwaZulu- Natal.
Our programmes, which focus on children’s rights (including protection, education and health rights) have supported nearly 130, 000 children directly in 2018.

About: Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In South Africa and around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.
Note to the Editor: If children are affected, we’ve got something to say. Our team of experts are available for comments, interviews and information.
