Hlobisile Nsibande, Director of Finance

Hlobisile Nsibande, is a chartered management accountant (CIMA) and South African professional accountant (SAIPA). With 25 years of practical experience, she has established herself as a seasoned professional who combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to excellence in financial management.
Hlobisile’s career reflects a strong dedication to financial stewardship across diverse sectors. She began in public accounting and later specialised in financial services and retirement fund administration, gaining deep expertise in regulated financial environments. Since joining SCSA in 2020, she has applied this wealth of experience to the non-profit sector, where her skills in accountability and governance align with mission-driven work. Passionate about leveraging financial expertise to drive social impact, she continues to use her knowledge to strengthen organizations committed to meaningful change.
Megan Briede, Director of programmes

Megan Briede holds Honours degrees in Social Work and Psychology, alongside diplomas in Programme Management and Monitoring & Evaluation. She has also completed coursework for an MBA and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
With over 30 years of experience in the development sector, she has led major child protection and HIV/AIDS response programmes, including PEPFAR-funded initiatives that strengthened government capacity to support vulnerable children. Her career began as a social worker working directly with children and families, and she has since become a passionate advocate for children’s rights, contributing to the development of South Africa’s Children’s Act. Her expertise ensures that programmes deliver lasting impact for children and communities most in need.
Suzanne Wessels, Director of Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

Suzanne is a development professional with extensive experience in Management, Monitoring and Evaluation. She brings 24 years’ experience in the Development Sector, nineteen (19) of which in the Children’s Sector, working for Save the Children in South Africa. Prior to transitioning to SCSA, Suzanne worked for Save the Children UK. Suzanne has broad technical knowledge through working across various sectors in the development arena including Education, child protection, community development and engagement, health and nutrition, HIV/AIDS, children’s rights, local government.
Since SCSA was formed in 2013 she has been leading monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in the organisation in its objective to growing SCSA’s research portfolio and evidence base to support the development and roll-out of quality programmes.
